Selden is just the current name for a place that has had many names throughout the many millennia of its existence. Whatever the name of the land, its is a place doomed to live between dramatically polarized concepts. Good and evil. But from these abstract concepts extends a wide variety of emotions, namely regret, anger, and sorrow. And from this wellspring of dramatic emotion stems the wars, massacres, conflicts, and blood-shed which is the story of Selden.
Five warriors, Thom, Drizzt, and Lucan, chosen as champions of the ancient heroes of Selden now attempt to rid the world of a dark force which hasn’t been known for years. Meanwhile a sorcerer of the name Keegan attempts to find a place for his immense power in the darkening world, caught between the seduction of power and the wish to reestablish his long dead home, The College of Mindelor. And a religous devotee by the name Keldas, devoted to Lucan and to the god he worships, Viritus, attempts to fight for the forces of good. But in Selden, the line between light and shadow is not so easily found.
