The Owner of the Waverly Hotel
The owner of the Waverly Hotel, he inherited the business from his father who died twenty years ago. He is a shrewd businessman whose made enough mistakes to be weary of shady dealings. He and Slate often disagree on the running of the Waverly Hotel. Slate often seems too cautious when they are out on the open sea, while Rem pushes the old captain to continue forward despite troubles on water. Rem is the very argumentative type and can debate for hours on end. He wants nothing more than to see the complete success of his hotel and the recent development with the Veil has shriveled business like a raisin in the sun.
